Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is a Mexican American Sportscaster. She works as an ESPN anchor on news, and she hosts SportsNation at times. In 2016, she was a part of ESPN. She is the daughter of the reporter for television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta has been bilingual since age nine. Her skills were instrumental in securing her first position as an assistant to the production team at Univision Miami, where she assisted the production of programs including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. When she was in St. Petersburg, she was then employed by the CBS station to work as the sports reporter. Then she moved to Rio Grande Valley in 2009 as a reporter for one of the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. Reports on her show covered immigration issues, drug trafficking, and others on the Texas as well as the Mexico border. She was also a Spanish reporter on the newscast at 5 p.m. as well as anchor and reporter for the newscast from 9 p.m. on English and an anchor and reporter for the newscast of 9 p.m. in English, as well Spanish reporter for 10 p.m. The duties of anchoring for sports or weather were often asked for. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallas' affiliate, where she is more responsible. The city of Mexico City she was conceived on the 22nd of November, 1985. There is an older sister. The family settled in Miami after relocating out of Mexico to the US. The couple divorced shortly after and her mother got married to an architect from the naval profession named Fabio Fajardo who died from kidney cancer in 2006. She stayed with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime in which she was offered a job. Antonietta was the senior of her high school and had a clear idea of what she wanted to do in her future career. She visited Mount Union University to find out if the school was suitable for her. The campus was beautiful and offered the degree she was looking for. She graduated from high school and was enrolled in media studies at the university. Mark Bergmann, her professor who was also the manager of the WRMU's 91.1FM station where she worked over the years, became a friend. Mark Bergmann was the person who instilled her confidence and whose passion for Journalism deeply touched her. In turn, she strived to fulfill his expectations and never let him down.
